Wes Camden and Ben Norman Become Partners in Brooks Pierce


Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP is pleased to announce that two attorneys have recently been selected to become the newest partners of the firm. These exemplary lawyers are Benjamin R. Norman and Wes J. Camden.

Located in the firm’s Greensboro office, Norman represents clients involved in complicated business disputes before federal and state courts, including the North Carolina Business Court.  He has wide-ranging experience in lawsuits involving claims for breach of contract, unfair and deceptive trade practices, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and claims against large banks related to interest rate swaps and other similar derivatives. He received his J.D. from Wake Forest University and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina. He served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Ben F. Tennille, Chief Special Superior Court Judge for Complex Business Cases, North Carolina Business Court, from 2004 to 2005.


Located in the firm’s Raleigh office, Camden devotes his practice to helping businesses, executives, and other professionals respond to federal and state criminal investigations. He also works with clients to conduct internal investigations and develop compliance programs. Prior to joining Brooks Pierce, Camden served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He has worked with businesses that have been criminally defrauded to help them vindicate their rights through the criminal justice system. He received his J.D. from Wake Forest University and his B.S. from Belmont University. He served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Terrence W. Boyle, United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina, from 2004 to 2005.
