Brooks Pierce partner Ben Norman co-authored an article for the June 2025 edition of Wyoming State Bar’s Wyoming Lawyer magazine. Benjamin Burningham, Wyoming Chancery Court Judge, served as co-author.
Titled, “From Tar Heels to Cowboys: Pioneering Business Courts,” the article explores the rise of the North Carolina Business Court and how it provides an example for the success of similar courts across the country – including the recently-established Wyoming Chancery Court. Norman is a litigator who represents clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts, with substantial experience in the North Carolina Business Court. While the parties and industries have varied over the last twenty years, nearly all of his cases involve working to find the best resolution for clients navigating a failed business relationship.
