In an article published by HR.com’s Legal and Compliance Excellence magazine, Beth Langley and Kemper Patton discuss how the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent civil rights rulings have greatly altered the legal landscape between an employer and its employees.

“Employers should be aware that under the Groff regime, determining whether an employee is entitled to religious accommodation is no small matter. Groff requires employers to consider the impact that all relevant factors may have on the cost of the employer’s business, and the impacts on an employee’s coworkers are only relevant if they impact the conduct of the employer’s business,” noted Langley and Patton.
