Brooks Pierce Partner Participates in 2025 NCBA Litigation Section Annual Program

Brooks Pierce partner Will Quick is slated to participate in the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) 2025 Litigation Section Annual Program, “Drive This Way: Litigation on the Road to Success,” on May 9 in Cary, NC. The program will also be available via live webcast. As president of the NCBA Litigation Section, Quick also assisted in the planning of the program.

Quick will participate in the panel discussion, “Data Breach and Related Consumer Privacy Actions.” Panelists will discuss the complex and evolving landscape of data breach and consumer privacy litigation, addressing jurisdictional challenges, shifting statutory frameworks and enforcement actions.

Quick has a diverse litigation and regulatory practice, representing businesses and local governments in trial and appellate matters and before state agencies in North and South Carolina. He has a particular focus on litigating individual and class action claims following data breaches or alleging violations of state and federal consumer privacy protection laws concerning website tracking and wiretapping. He also advises clients on the design and implementation of privacy compliance programs and assists businesses with their response and notification obligations following data breaches, including ransomware attacks. Quick is a Board Certified Specialist in Privacy and Information Security Law from the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization.
