The article, “Chemicals in fast food wrappers? Has the legal system failed us? Not so PFAS-t!” discusses PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) being detected in the wrappers of several international fast food chains and the federal government’s work to continue to create and adapt laws to protect human health, including greater regulation of PFAS using existing regulatory structures.

Smith focuses his law practice on matters involving environmental, commercial, education and state constitutional law. A former educator and environmental scientist, Smith represents businesses, boards of education and individuals in state, federal, administrative, and appellate courts.
