Overview
Sydney represents corporations from an array of industries, including the financial services, retail, logistics, and transportation sectors. She has litigated commercial disputes and class actions and performed corporate investigations. Clients benefit from her experience in discovery management, motions practice, and witness preparation.
My Practices
Sydney previously worked as a litigator for a large international firm before joining Brooks Pierce. She has represented both individuals and organizations in multi-district litigation, conducted fact investigations, and managed complex discovery.
Sydney loves to engage with complex business disputes that employ her problem-solving and analytical skills. It is her goal to not only untangle the facts and legal issues underlying a complex business dispute or a regulatory compliance challenge, but to also organize a strategic and systematic response to that dispute or challenge, especially where there are many moving parts.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Sydney worked for a forensic accounting, anti-money laundering compliance, and other professional services practice within a Big Four accounting firm. She has experience conducting internal investigations both as a forensic accountant uncovering where money has gone as well as a lawyer interrogating whether any misfeasance or malfeasance has occurred in a business’s operations.
