Brooks Pierce attorneys Tony Barwick, Anna Tison and Thomas Walls recently represented Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company, LLC, one of North America’s largest managers of Marriott branded hotels and Whitman Peterson LLC, a real estate private equity company making and actively managing opportunistic real estate investments on behalf of institutional investors in connection with the sale of three hotels in Florida to a joint venture of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Riller Capital LLC for $112.5 million.

The hotels in the transaction were the Aloft/Element Tampa Midtown, which includes two distinct hotel concepts in one property, and the Hyatt Place Jacksonville St. Johns Town Center. Combined, the three hotels have more than 380 rooms.

Barwick regularly assists clients in successfully structuring, negotiating and completing a wide variety of complex transactional matters. He has a particular interest in representing hospitality companies, including the negotiation of licenses, management and development agreements, financings and asset acquisitions and dispositions.

Tison represents buyers, sellers, developers, lenders and investors in complex commercial real estate transactions. She provides counsel in financing, joint ventures, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions of real estate.

Walls represents owners, developers, investors and lenders with the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial real estate.
