Brooks Pierce Attorneys Present Labor & Employment Webinar on AI Usage and the Corporate Transparency Act

Brooks Pierce attorneys Beth Langley, Kemper Patton and Mark Davidson presented a labor and employment webinar on July 20 titled, “AI Usage in the Workplace and the Employment Implications of the Corporate Transparency Act.”

Langley and Patton discussed artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace and implications related to issues such as data privacy, personnel recordkeeping, policies and more. Additionally, Davidson addressed the employment implications of the federal Corporate Transparency Act and regulations that go into effect January 1, 2024.

Langley has over 25 years of experience counseling employers of all sizes in an assortment of employment law issues. She has represented businesses in employment litigation in matters involving civil rights, non-competition agreements, and trade secret protection.

Patton is a labor and employment attorney advising clients in industries such as education, hospitality, insurance, and manufacturing. He prioritizes educating himself on every aspect of employers’ workplaces in order to proactively identify and resolve their issues while also, when necessary, advocating on their behalf at every stage of litigation.

Davidson plans, negotiates and documents a wide variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, organization, governance, debt and equity financing, executive compensation, partnership and corporate taxation, and management/ownership succession.
