With more than 700 members, NC TECH is the statewide trade association for technology companies. State of Tech EXPONENTIAL is its largest annual content-oriented conference. Brooks Pierce is a long-time member of NC TECH, and our attorneys represent a number of the state’s leading technology companies. Partner Ed Turlington has served as State Government Counsel to NC TECH since 2005 and, along with colleague Drew Moretz, advocates for the industry before the legislative and executive branches. These efforts include supporting funding for broadband internet in schools and businesses, working to improve technology procurement laws and helping write a state law to discourage litigation abuse by patent trolls.
