Brooks Pierce Attorneys Present Labor and Employment Webinar

Brooks Pierce attorneys Jessi Thaller-Moran and Kemper Patton presented a labor and employment webinar on September 28 titled, “The U.S. Department of Labor’s Proposed Rule: Debunking Myths and Providing Tips on Employee Classification.”

Thaller-Moran and Patton discussed a proposed rule from the U.S. Department of Labor that will likely remove many overtime and minimum wage exemptions. The webinar provided an overview of the proposed rule, “myth bust” misunderstandings about current wage and overtime exemptions, and offered tips for ensuring compliance when the proposed rule takes effect.

Thaller-Moran focuses her practice on employment law and litigation, which includes counseling employers on legal compliance and helping them proactively identify, prepare for and respond to issues involving personnel management.

Patton is a labor and employment attorney advising clients in industries such as education, hospitality, insurance, and manufacturing.
